Description

  • Collaborate with art leadership and cross-functional teams to develop visually consistent game environments.
  • Model, texture, and integrate in-game environments based on concepts, 3D mock-ups, and art direction specifications.
  • Build and maintain modular environment kits, including materials and trim sheets.
  • Learn and work within a proprietary game engine and its technical constraints.
  • Deliver complete environment areas, including assets, assembly, and materials, with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate progress clearly and ask questions early to keep production moving efficiently.
  • Contribute to the organization and optimization of data and production pipelines.
  • Track, identify, and fix bugs during production and post-production.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio with recent work showing real-time environments, hero assets, or modular kits; must submit portfolio to be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in video game production with a track record of shipped projects.
  • Strong grasp of composition, visual design, and color theory.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard 3D modeling, sculpting, and texturing software.
  • Experience shipping environment art in multiple game engines.
  • Technical proficiency in environment art workflows, including topology, UVs, and optimized meshes.
  • Strong knowledge of game production pipelines.
  • Proactive collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 is a bonus.
  • Must be available for a fully remote ongoing contract role; not available to California residents.
