Description

Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to improve the iOS app and its user workflows.
Design and implement efficient, functional iOS mobile applications using Swift and Objective-C.
Develop new features while maintaining and improving existing integrations.
Contribute to the Lightspeed POS application and support its performance across target markets.
Participate in daily Agile ceremonies and brainstorming sessions to shape technical solutions.
Own the codebase with a strong focus on code quality, system reliability, and infrastructure robustness.
Share best practices and insights to improve the team’s engineering practices and overall performance.
Help integrate and support external partners and POS-related capabilities within the app.

Requirements

Advanced programming skills in Swift, with Objective-C experience ideally preferred.
Good knowledge of Structured Concurrency, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, and REST APIs.
Experience writing automated unit and functional tests.
Strong conceptual understanding of software design and code quality.
Experience with local network communication and external accessories such as payment terminals or printers is a plus.
Ability to work effectively as a team player and contribute to technical discussions.
Self-motivated with the ability to function with minimal supervision.
Fluency in English as a working language is required.
A problem-solving mindset with willingness to tackle complexity and learn continuously.

Total compensation expected in the range of $165k–175k CAD for candidates hired to work within Ontario.
