Description

  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and other cross-functional partners to improve the iOS application.
  • Design and implement functional, efficient, and visually polished iOS mobile applications using Swift and Objective-C.
  • Develop new iOS features and user-centric workflows for the Lightspeed POS app.
  • Maintain and improve existing integrations while supporting expansion into new markets.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to brainstorming and solution design discussions.
  • Own code quality, system reliability, and the overall robustness of the codebase and infrastructure.
  • Share best practices, insights, and knowledge to help improve team performance and iOS development practices.

Requirements

  • Advanced programming skills in Swift, with Objective-C experience ideally preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Structured Concurrency, UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, and REST APIs.
  • Experience writing automated unit tests and functional tests.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of software design and code quality.
  • Experience with local network communication and external accessories such as payment terminals and printers is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including contributing to discussions and sharing opinions.
  • Self-motivated, improvement-oriented, and willing to make decisions and learn from mistakes.
  • Fluency in English is required for this position.
  • Problem-solving mindset and willingness to tackle complex technical challenges.

  • Total compensation is expected to be in the range of $165k–175k CAD for candidates hired to work in Ontario.
