Description

  • Own the technical architecture of integration data domains and end-to-end data pipelines.
  • Gather requirements and translate product and technical vision into data ingestion and processing solutions.
  • Map current architecture and design future-state architecture to meet evolving needs.
  • Build, test, maintain, support, and evolve data systems and pipelines.
  • Dive into code, operational tooling, cloud resources, logs, monitoring, and data quality issues as needed.
  • Continuously improve architecture and systems design for scale and reliability.
  • Define and own data engineering and data architecture standards and best practices.
  • Serve as a technical authority and mentor for data engineers across teams.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineering leaders, and product teams to improve architecture maturity.
  • Embed AI strategy into integrations architecture and identify, prioritize, and pilot AI initiatives.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on background in data engineering, including ETL/ELT, data pipelines, complex transformations, and data modeling.
  • Proven experience as a data architect at the cloud systems level, ideally across multiple teams, domains, or projects.
  • Experience in data integration contexts, including schema-drift detection, backfill and replay, idempotency, and reusable connector frameworks.
  • Experience designing future-proof architectures and improving technical architectures, tooling, support, and processes.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to break down large architectural initiatives into clear, scoped technical work.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Google Cloud Composer/Airflow, and cloud databases such as BigQuery, Spanner, Snowflake, or Databricks.
  • Professional proficiency in Python for large-scale data processing and pipeline development.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools and agentic workflows to ship higher-quality work faster.
  • Fluent English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience building integrations with third-party APIs and external data sources (preferred).
  • Experience in hospitality technology or a similar industry such as airlines (preferred).
