Description

  • Design, build, maintain, and own the quality of premium membership features from design through production.
  • Build subscription tiering, pricing, packaging, paywalls, plan selection, upsell, upgrade, and in-app purchase flows.
  • Own ad placement, mediation, performance, and stability across the mobile experience.
  • Partner with product, design, data science, and analytics teams to turn hypotheses into shippable work and measurable results.
  • Use AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot for specifications, coding, testing, reviews, and documentation.
  • Ship performant and reliable experiences while monitoring startup time, memory, battery, ANR, and crash-free metrics.
  • Contribute to architecture, code reviews, technical standards, and continuous improvement across mobile codebases.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for premium features and releases.
  • Mentor engineers and help advance the team’s AI-native engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Android software engineering experience shipping production consumer apps at scale.
  • Cross-platform development experience, including at least 1 year of AI-assisted iOS development.
  • Experience with in-app billing and subscription platforms, including Google Play Billing and StoreKit.
  • Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose proficiency, plus familiarity with the Android View system, Coroutines, Flow, and modern Android tooling.
  • Experience with MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture, Jetpack/ViewModel/Navigation, and Hilt or Dagger in large codebases.
  • Experience with mobile experimentation, including feature flags, A/B testing, exposure logging, holdouts, and guardrail metrics.
  • Knowledge of mobile performance and diagnostics tools such as Android Studio Profiler, Perfetto/Systrace, Macrobenchmark, and Crashlytics.
  • Experience with Android CI/CD, Gradle, Fastlane, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, and modular build systems.
  • Strong expertise in LLM-powered agentic systems, prompt engineering, context-window optimization, and MCP integrations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience; clear communication of technical tradeoffs.
  • Experience with mobile ad SDKs, experimentation platforms, analytics pipelines, open source, or developer tooling is preferred.

  • US salary of $118,500–$216,500 or Canadian salary of $171,500–$201,000, varying by location and experience.
