Description

  • Manage and expand existing customer relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with engineering, purchasing, quality, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Travel throughout the territory to meet with current and prospective customers.
  • Present product solutions through demonstrations, samples, and technical discussions.
  • Prepare pricing proposals, quotes, and sales agreements.
  • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline activity, and project tracking.
  • Partner with Inside Sales and Customer Service to support customer needs and resolve order, delivery, and project issues.
  • Represent Electro-Matic at trade shows and industry events.
  • Stay current on products, technologies, and industry trends through ongoing training.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial automation or a closely related industry.
  • Experience with Siemens products strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus ability to learn and use a CRM application.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory, including occasional overnight travel.
