Description

  • Advise clients on capital raising transactions, including Seed, Series A, Series B, and later-stage raises.
  • Lead M&A matters, including sale and purchase of businesses.
  • Draft and negotiate investment, governance, and related corporate and commercial documents.
  • Support clients on shareholder agreements, share buy-backs, business structuring, loans, and corporate governance matters.
  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Run matters autonomously while managing multiple client priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with other lawyers to deliver high-quality work and a strong client experience.
  • Contribute to the growth and direction of the firm and help build the practice.
  • Develop people management and supervision capability through the role.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Strong experience in general corporate and commercial law.
  • Demonstrated expertise in capital raising transactions, including equity and convertible instruments.
  • Experience acting for SMEs, founder-led businesses, and growth-stage companies, ideally.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and commercial challenges facing scaling businesses.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating investment, governance, and related corporate/commercial documents.
  • Ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear, practical, and commercially accessible way.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work autonomously across multiple matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
