Description

  • Lead and mentor the QA Automation team, providing technical guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Expand and maintain test coverage across functional, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Evolve and maintain the Playwright + TypeScript test automation framework using the Page Object Model pattern and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Development teams, and DevOps to define feature requirements, test strategies, and ensure code quality.
  • Formulate efficient and deterministic test scenarios and create comprehensive test strategy and acceptance criteria documentation.
  • Maintain and create automated regression test suites and identify, categorize, and report bugs with actionable context (screenshots, error messages, stack traces).
  • Design and implement stable, fast CI pipelines that verify code health and apply CI/CD best practices; support and debug test environment deployments.
  • Use AI-powered testing tools to accelerate test development, exploration, and maintenance, and participate in structured code reviews to shape testing standards.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional QA/Software Testing experience with 1+ year in a leadership or management role.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development practices.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Playwright and Page Object Model (POM) design pattern.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or similar).
  • Experience in multiple testing types: web UI/UX, mobile apps, responsive UI/cross-browser, API, performance, and load testing.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring QA engineers with excellent debugging, problem-solving, prioritization, estimation, and scheduling skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, product-oriented mindset, and strong communication skills.
  • Exposure to AI-powered coding/testing tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate test development and maintenance.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized test environments.
  • Nice-to-have: experience in EdTech/LMS or complex SaaS products, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr), performance tools (Artillery, k6, JMeter), GoLang experience, and open-source contributions or personal projects.
