Description

  • Design, build, and operate production data pipelines from ingestion through enrichment, processing, and serving.
  • Build and maintain streaming and real-time ingestion systems that move event data at scale with low latency.
  • Own the cloud infrastructure supporting the pipelines, including compute, storage, networking, security, and observability.
  • Manage infrastructure as code for production data systems.
  • Collaborate with product and ML engineers to deliver datasets and pipelines for product features and AI/ML workflows.
  • Implement data quality, observability, and reliability controls across the data platform.
  • Drive engineering practices such as code review, testing, CI/CD for data, performance tuning, and cost discipline.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and ML stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, well-documented data systems.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in data and/or software engineering.
  • Proven leadership on production data pipelines that power product or customer-facing systems, not only internal analytics.
  • Strong production engineering background with Python, SQL, code review, testing, CI/CD, and operational ownership.
  • Deep cloud infrastructure experience with AWS or equivalent, including S3, Kinesis/MSK, Lambda, ECS/EKS, IAM, and networking.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CDK.
  • Experience with streaming or real-time data ingestion tools such as Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, or Spark Streaming.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data warehouse or lakehouse technologies such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or Athena.
  • Hands-on experience with dbt.
  • Experience building distributed data systems at scale with attention to performance, reliability, and cost.
  • Familiarity with data quality and observability tools and practices such as Great Expectations, dbt tests, or Monte Carlo.
  • Background enabling AI/ML workloads on top of production data.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote environment.
  • Must be physically located within Europe.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of data cataloguing tools, data contracts frameworks, or data mesh principles.
  • Nice to have: background in B2B SaaS and familiarity with intent data, web event data, CRM, product analytics, billing, and support tooling.
