Description

  • Scope, plan, and lead delivery of large-scale features and roadmap initiatives.
  • Clarify and refine requirements across stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
  • Navigate ambiguous requirements and competing priorities to deliver user-focused features.
  • Contribute to long-term architectural planning and system design.
  • Lead technical problem-solving for complex, cross-team challenges and production issues.
  • Improve the codebase through strong code reviews, architecture, testing, and deployment practices.
  • Ensure scalable and maintainable solutions across frontend and backend systems.
  • Serve as a go-to expert for debugging, troubleshooting, and system reliability.
  • Collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams to align on priorities and delivery.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers through coaching, pairing, and feedback.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of progressive software engineering experience, with leadership required.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software development practices and architectures.
  • Strong track record of scoping, delivering, and evolving large-scale features.
  • Experience with both frontend and backend technologies; a polyglot mindset is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for all audiences.
  • Strategic problem-solving ability and adaptability in fast-changing environments.
  • A passion for mentoring and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Experience staying current on emerging technologies, frameworks, and architectures is preferred.
  • Experience contributing to team workflows and sharing insights on industry trends is preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $145,000–$165,000 USD.
  • Market-based, data-driven compensation reviewed bi-annually.
  • Permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans.
  • Fully remote work is available for select positions.
  • Offices located in Boston, Vancouver (BC), Chicago, and Vancouver (WA).
