Description

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed group of Engineering Team Leads across infrastructure and SRE.
  • Set the management standard for how team leads develop and support their engineering teams.
  • Foster an engineering culture centered on autonomy, ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support career development through 1:1s, goal setting, and regular feedback.
  • Partner with leadership to shape strategy, resourcing, and roadmap for the infrastructure organization.
  • Own reliability, availability, and performance outcomes across the platform, including SRE operations.
  • Oversee on-call, incident response, and reliability engineering practices, including SLOs and SLIs.
  • Drive adoption of infrastructure best practices such as GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and security.
  • Partner with product to help define requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Communicate technical direction and priorities clearly across leads, engineers, leadership, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience leading infrastructure engineering organizations.
  • Experience managing other engineering managers or team leads in a manager-of-managers role.
  • Deep understanding of how people and leaders need to operate to do their best work.
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering practices, including on-call design, incident response, and reliability/availability frameworks such as SLOs and SLIs.
  • Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Familiarity with the operator pattern in Go.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, including EKS, VPC/networking fundamentals, IAM, and security architecture.
  • Experience running large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
  • Strong background in Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, CDK, or similar tools.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to align teams, unblock engineers, and move projects forward.
