Description

  • Build supportive relationships with approximately 20 veterinarians and promote their professional and personal satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary contact for assigned veterinarians, including approximately eight doctors on call each day.
  • Manage and prioritize calendars, doctor schedules, and PTO approvals.
  • Monitor appointments and resolve client concerns, escalations, accidents, injuries, and unusual requests with empathy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with crematory partners and clients when needed to support quality service for families.
  • Recommend updates to standard operating procedures and present them to Senior Practice Managers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand systems and processes and provide frontline support to doctors.
  • Maintain and update departmental metrics.
  • Protect patient, client, and business confidentiality and follow applicable policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in business administration, management, leadership, or administrative processes required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Experience in clinical veterinary medicine, practice management, veterinary operations, or a similar role preferred.
  • Strong client-service commitment and dynamic problem-solving abilities.
  • Independent, confident, adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and follow-up skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Working knowledge of computers, email, video conferencing, digital medical records, scheduling tools, and communications software.
  • Ability to quickly learn tools including Zoom, Trello, Office 365, Sunshine, Google Suite, Gmail, and Google Calendar.
  • Reliable, secure internet access and ability to work at a computer for up to eight hours daily while multitasking.
