Description

  • Oversee and manage customer needs related to multi-state unclaimed property matters, including assessments, audit defense, and voluntary disclosure agreement programs.
  • Prepare customers for examinations by explaining upcoming requests and the examination process.
  • Represent customers in discussions with auditors regarding examination status and responses to information document requests.
  • Analyze customer data to identify unclaimed property risk and recommend mitigation tactics.
  • Develop customer deliverables and reports for state submission through completion of the review.
  • Lead, train, and develop junior resources while contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
  • Manage customer engagements, including scope, team performance, task assignment, and alignment to customer expectations.
  • Identify process and technology improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor changes in unclaimed property legislation and technical developments that affect consulting engagements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of unclaimed property professional experience, with prior consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt to varied customer situations and changing circumstances with minimal confusion or loss of productivity.
  • Ability to produce high-quality professional deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • Understanding of complex unclaimed property concepts.
  • Proven experience managing unclaimed property consulting engagements, including audit defense, voluntary disclosure agreement programs, policy and procedures, or similar services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • BA/BS in accounting, business administration, finance, engineering, information systems, or a similar field.
