Description

  • Own end-to-end supply chain strategy, performance, and risk management across a multi-tier outsourced manufacturing model.
  • Build and lead a supply chain organization covering planning, procurement, inventory management, and contract manufacturing oversight.
  • Develop and execute the roadmap to scale supply chain operations from low-volume production to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Serve as the primary supply chain interface with Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations, Commercialization, and Partnerships teams.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls across procurement, inventory tracking, vendor management, and purchasing workflows.
  • Lead S&OP, demand planning, master production scheduling, inventory targets, and supply risk mitigation.
  • Manage supplier strategy, including selection, onboarding, performance management, negotiations, and commodity planning.
  • Oversee contract manufacturers, component flow, sub-assembly builds, traceability, and final integration at the OEM or upfitter.
  • Partner with Engineering on NPI, design-for-manufacturability, and prototype-to-production transitions.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, logistics, reverse logistics, and financial reconciliations.
  • Own supply chain financial performance, including cost reduction, working capital optimization, and audit-ready reporting.
  • Support customer commitments by providing real-time supply status, lead times, capacity data, and allocation updates.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior management or director-level role.
  • Proven experience leading supply chain operations in a public company environment with audit, controls, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience scaling manufacturing or supply chain operations from prototype or low-volume production to high-volume production in hardware or electro-mechanical products.
  • Ability to build supply chain functions from early-stage or immature processes and also optimize established operations.
  • Deep experience with outsourced or contract manufacturing models and multi-tier supplier networks, including consignment and sub-assembly flows.
  • Strong background in procurement, commodity management, supplier negotiations, and domestic and international sourcing.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain control environments, including segregation of duties, approval workflows, and system-based controls.
  • Experience with S&OP, demand planning, MRP/ERP systems, and inventory management best practices; SAP strongly preferred.
  • Track record of driving continuous cost reductions and process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen, including ownership of supply chain P&L and balance sheet elements, BOM cost management, working capital, and CIP accounting.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with procurement policies, GAAP inventory standards, and trade/import regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in autonomous vehicles, automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related advanced hardware industries is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, with Public Cloud strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with vehicle OEM, upfit, retrofit, or aftermarket integration processes is preferred.
  • MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
  • APICS (CSCP/CPIM), ISM (CPSM), or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, venture-backed, or startup-to-scale environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting NPI and design-for-manufacturability initiatives in close partnership with Engineering is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $190,000 to $245,000 USD for the SF/Silicon Valley location.
  • Total compensation includes base pay, equity, bonus, and a competitive benefits package.
