Description

Serve as a customs compliance escalation point for internal stakeholders across Operations, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Product, and Engineering.
Lead and supervise a remote team of Broker Partner Success and Post-Entry Analysts.
Coordinate weekend, holiday, and time-zone coverage to maintain business continuity across the US and Canada.
Support pre-entry and post-entry workflows with importers and broker partners to drive timely and accurate customs clearance.
Oversee exception management audits, invoice and statement escalations, and CBP/CBSA requests.
Manage PSC and protest tracking in the US and corrections and adjustments in Canada.
Hold ongoing weekly, biweekly, and monthly meetings with broker partners and ABI users.
Provide general guidance on customs topics such as tariff changes, recon, duty drawback, ACE reporting, and data analytics.
Support special projects such as tariff planning.
Ensure KlearNow facilitates customs business through partners without directly conducting customs business.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance, account management, or a combination.
Valid U.S. Customs Broker License issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) or equivalent Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation from the NCBFAA.
Experience with enterprise-level customs brokerage operations.
Comfort with ACE or similar data and analytics tools.
Ability to articulate and translate complex concepts for different audiences and organizational levels.
Experience working with emerging technologies and integrating them into defensible operations.
Strong attention to detail and a self-starter mindset.
Motivation to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred experience managing a large customs brokerage operation and/or customs broker network as an enterprise-level importer.
Preferred project management instinct with proactive deliverable tracking, early risk flagging, and accountability management.
Ability to navigate formal sources such as CSMS, FRNs, and D-Memos.
Proven success liaising with CBP, CBSA, PGAs, and other government agencies.
Background with specialized programs such as AD/CVD, carnets, C-TPAT/PIP/AEO, duty drawback, FTAs, FTZ, goods returned, inbonds, ISA, punitive tariff programs, quota, recon, and warehouse entries.
Familiarity with multiple transport modes and northern and southern border operations.
Language skills are preferred.
