Description

  • Own and drive key components of the email pipeline architecture.
  • Design and implement scalable, high-throughput services in Go.
  • Develop systems that manage message queues and email delivery.
  • Ensure systems scale with customer growth, including larger enterprise accounts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve performance, reliability, and deliverability.
  • Transform workflows by incorporating AI into systems and ways of working from the ground up.

Requirements

  • Senior-level backend engineer with strong systems design skills.
  • Proficiency in Go is required.
  • Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Experience working with high-throughput distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with message queues such as Pulsar, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
  • Bonus experience with email infrastructure, MTAs, deliverability, or mailops.
  • Comfort working independently on projects from design through production.
  • Ability to thrive in a mostly remote, high-autonomy team.
  • Experience experimenting with AI tools or workflows is preferred.
  • Technologies used include AWS, DynamoDB, Kubernetes, Terraform, Gin, Django, Pulsar, Kafka, GreenArrow, proxy servers, and email deliverability/monitoring tools.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $148,000 to $222,000 USD.
  • Participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
  • Equity and sign-on payments may be included in total compensation.
  • Comprehensive health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits, subject to eligibility.
  • Mostly remote team environment.
  • Up to 10% travel for onboarding, team meetings, client or partner work, and industry events.
