Description

Collaborate with product designers, engineers, brand designers, writers, and other stakeholders to uphold high design standards.
Design visual experiences that unify and express the company’s design language.
Document, maintain, and evangelize the Klaviyo Design System internally and externally.
Help transform workflows by placing AI at the center of design processes.
Serve as an ambassador for the new design system and drive adoption across the organization.
Communicate design system strategy, plans, and milestones to internal teams.
Surface opportunities to apply the design system through design critiques, spec reviews, and team meetings.
Work with cross-functional partners to push the user experience forward while maintaining high standards.

Requirements

Product design experience with an accompanying portfolio.
Experience designing and building durable design systems at scale within a large product organization.
Experience documenting guidelines, standards, patterns, and best practices.
Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.
Ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
Strong understanding of design principles and user experience best practices.
Experience experimenting with AI in work or personal projects, with enthusiasm to learn new AI tools and workflows quickly.
Strong critical thinking and attention to detail at both system and component levels.
Strong visual design sense and attention to craft and detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with engineers and designers to ship features and components.
Up to 10% travel may be required.
Experience with AI tools and responsible AI practices is preferred.

Benefits

Base salary range of $134,400 to $201,600 USD.
Eligibility for the company’s annual cash bonus plan.
Equity may be included in the total compensation package.

Flexible location-based compensation determined by skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
Travel is coordinated in advance.
