Description

  • Own design projects end to end, from concept and scoping through user flows, UI, release, and follow-up.
  • Drive discovery to define user problems, evaluate competitors, and identify best practices.
  • Partner closely with Research, Product Management, and Development to align on requirements and validate feasibility.
  • Write clear design specifications and perform design QA against the intended experience and the Kinsta Design System.
  • Provide rationale for design decisions, resolve product deadlocks, and communicate trade-offs when priorities compete.
  • Serve as project owner during delivery when needed, coordinating progress and releases.
  • Build deep product expertise across user personas, use cases, and UI-level design solutions.
  • Uphold design quality through critique, usability, UX, and UI standards, while helping maintain and evolve the design system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Designer or UX Designer.
  • Experience shipping products and features from zero to production with full project ownership.
  • Experience working in a SaaS product environment.
  • Hands-on experience across the full design workflow, including research, problem definition, ideation, UI creation, and delivery partnership.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Figma.
  • Experience working with and maintaining a design system.
  • A portfolio with at least one case study showing a project from problem statement to delivered solution.
  • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Professional-level English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience working on a hosting or web infrastructure product.
  • Preferred: experience with technical products for developer or technology-oriented users.
  • Preferred: experience with the WordPress ecosystem.
