Description

  • Direct and develop the Controlling team in the Americas, providing daily oversight, mentorship, and review of team outputs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of statutory financial statements under Local GAAP.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting for the Americas region.
  • Manage reconciliation and conversion between Group GAAP (IFRS) and Local GAAP.
  • Lead financial integrity activities, including controls testing and balance sheet documentation.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Shared Service Centre and drive remediation where needed.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management in collaboration with divisional and SSC teams.
  • Partner with Tax and Audit teams on VAT, corporate tax, 1099s, regulatory filings, and audit relationships.
  • Monitor SSC service delivery, resolve escalations, and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Contribute to regional finance transformation projects, including system implementations and legal entity rationalization.

Requirements

  • CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) or equivalent qualification is required.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience within a global finance function.
  • Proven experience managing and developing direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of controlling processes, internal controls, Local GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Demonstrated experience in statutory reporting and tax compliance, including GST and 1099s.
  • Experience managing relationships with external auditors and tax authorities.
  • Confidence leading process and system transitions and driving adoption of new workflows.
  • Experience working with Shared Service Centre (SSC) relationships and remediating accounting issues.
  • Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and translate data into actionable insights.
