Description

  • Own and manage assigned indirect spend categories and develop multi-year category strategies aligned with business priorities and spend targets.
  • Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and supplier landscaping to identify sourcing opportunities and competitive positioning.
  • Run end-to-end sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and reverse auctions, and make supplier selection and award recommendations.
  • Maintain category playbooks covering sourcing strategies, preferred suppliers, pricing benchmarks, and contractual standards.
  • Monitor market dynamics and brief stakeholders on pricing trends, supply chain disruptions, and supplier consolidation risks.
  • Lead commercial negotiations for software, SaaS, hardware, and professional services agreements.
  • Partner with Legal and Security to finalize contracts, manage redlines, and ensure execution within delegation of authority thresholds.
  • Manage post-signature contract lifecycle activities including renewals, milestones, compliance tracking, and amendments in CLM systems.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships, conduct quarterly business reviews, and manage onboarding and remediation plans.
  • Track savings, monitor spend analytics, support audits, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders on sourcing and procurement decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain with ownership of indirect spend categories.
  • Direct experience sourcing and negotiating IT hardware, software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, or professional services strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with a CLM or S2P platform such as Oracle Fusion, Coupa, Ariba, ServiceNow, or Zip.
  • Proficiency with spend analytics tools and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for cost modeling and reporting.
  • Familiarity with contract structures including MSAs, SOWs, SaaS subscription agreements, DPAs, and SLAs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to model total cost of ownership and build business cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of commercial contract terms and the ability to negotiate redlines with limited legal support.
  • CPSM, CIPS, or CPP certification preferred; IT-specific credentials such as CTPE are a plus.
