Description

  • Initiate contact with customers with outstanding balances to negotiate and collect payments.
  • Communicate with customers by phone, email, or written correspondence to discuss payment options and resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Billing, and Customer Success to align account strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, payment arrangements, and other relevant account information.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements in line with company policies and financial goals.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and disputes related to billing, payments, and account discrepancies.
  • Prepare and send collection letters, statements, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable debt collection laws and regulations.
  • Generate and analyze reports on outstanding debt, collection activity, and related metrics.
  • Provide customer service while remaining firm and persistent throughout the collection process.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in collections execution.
  • Experience using collection tools such as GetPaid or similar systems.
  • Experience with core collection processes, including calls, emails, escalations, dispute management, and documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage a book of business across large, medium, and small accounts with strategies to secure cash.
  • Comfort working with call/contact metrics and financial and operational metrics such as cash, aged AR, 90+, and dispute resolution intervals.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence internal stakeholders to drive results (preferred).
  • Strong customer relationship skills with both internal and external stakeholders (preferred).
  • High energy, positive attitude, and a team-first mentality in a results-driven environment (preferred).
