Description

  • Learn how the Legal team operates across sub-functions and identify friction, duplication, and risk in existing workflows.
  • Coordinate and operationalize the Legal transformation roadmap with leadership, including prioritization, sequencing, ownership, and measurement.
  • Drive cross-functional projects end to end from intake and scoping through rollout, adoption, and post-launch iteration.
  • Evaluate, select, configure, and roll out AI tools and legal technology solutions that automate routine work and improve decision-making.
  • Partner with attorneys to create playbooks, prompts, knowledge bases, decision frameworks, and escalation rules.
  • Build and improve legal operating infrastructure such as matter intake and triage, knowledge management, spend tracking, outside counsel management, compliance calendars, and reporting.
  • Develop self-service legal knowledge systems that help internal teams resolve routine questions with clear escalation paths.
  • Create reporting frameworks to measure Legal’s performance, capacity, efficiency, business impact, and risk trends.
  • Establish documentation, runbooks, and operational standards to keep systems understandable, auditable, and maintainable over time.
  • Support other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in legal operations, legal technology, program or project management, or a comparable operations and build role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and shipping workflow automation or AI-enabled tooling with measurable business impact.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple workstreams in parallel across overlapping timelines.
  • Exceptional fluency with AI tools, including hands-on experience with frontier assistants and agents such as Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and NotebookLM.
  • Experience with prompt engineering, custom AI workflows or projects, and configuring AI tools against structured playbooks and knowledge bases.
  • Strong technical instincts and ability to reason about APIs, integrations, automations, MCP servers, and platform trade-offs.
  • Excellent written communication skills for playbooks, project documentation, leadership updates, and summaries of complex work.
  • High judgment around confidentiality, privilege, and risk, with strong professional ethics and trustworthiness.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Direct experience with contract lifecycle management, entity management, e-billing or matter management, privacy operations, or compliance calendar tooling is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting an international legal function or a multi-entity organization is preferred.
  • Background in HR tech, fintech, PEO or EOR, or another regulated B2B environment is preferred.
  • Light scripting ability in Python, SQL, or similar is a meaningful plus but not required.
