Description

  • Own and lead quality efforts for significant product areas and cross-team initiatives.
  • Define and drive comprehensive test strategies across functional, integration, performance, and system testing.
  • Support developers in shifting quality left by enabling local acceptance testing and improving developer validation practices.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain complex automated test scripts with the development team.
  • Participate in Post-Incident Reviews and drive solutions that prevent repeat incidents.
  • Plan and complete Readiness Review testing sections, including end-to-end acceptance and exploratory testing at the epic level.
  • Perform complex debugging, including staging and production issue reproduction and root cause analysis.
  • Partner with the Pillar Lead and Protectobot to identify test coverage gaps, unblock framework issues, and improve AI-assisted testing efficiencies.
  • Mentor and coach QE team members and serve as a technical interviewer during hiring.
  • Evaluate risk versus schedule and collaborate with architects and development leads to improve system testability and robustness.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of experience in test planning, automation framework utilization, and Agile collaboration.
  • Advanced proficiency with automation tools and programming languages such as Python, Pytest, Playwright, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Deep experience with performance, security, integration, and exploratory testing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, maintainable test automation solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, deployment pipelines, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience enabling development teams to own their testing and fostering collective quality ownership.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.
  • Ability to define and execute test coverage strategies across the full test automation pyramid, including Unit, Functional, and Acceptance Tests.
  • Practical experience using Generative AI or LLMs in the software testing lifecycle (bonus).
  • Domain expertise in identity/directory protocols, authentication flows, MDM/device management, or cloud platforms (bonus).
  • Experience with API and web UI test automation tools such as Gherkin or Cypress (bonus).
  • Experience designing Go-based unit tests and functional testing frameworks (bonus).
  • Experience deploying, installing, and configuring applications on cloud-based servers, with AWS as a plus (bonus).
  • Experience in dynamic, fast-paced startup environments (bonus).
  • Must be located in and authorized to work in India for this remote role.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Participation in on-call shifts is expected.
