Description

  • Define and clearly communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Evangelize the product to internal and external stakeholders through documentation, training, beta-site collaboration, and presentations.
  • Balance module priorities with Product Development and corporate goals.
  • Lead cross-functional development teams including UX, QA, development, documentation, and database resources.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, including leading backlog grooming.
  • Gather market requirements and product feedback from internal and external stakeholders, including building a Product Advisory Group.
  • Develop epics, features, and user stories that translate product vision into execution.
  • Partner with UX to ensure product designs, personas, and user stories align with the intended vision.
  • Write and maintain functional requirement documents with clear user needs and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with Technical Documentation to create reference guides and online help.
  • Triage incoming requests and route them to the appropriate resource.
  • Conduct hotfix testing when needed and support critical issue resolution with Services and Support.
  • Represent the product at company events, educational sessions, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Coordinate rollout planning with Support, Services, Sales, and Account Management.
  • Support product direction with Product Development leadership and provide leadership to other PM team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience working at an accredited college or university.
  • 6+ years of experience in a Product Manager role in a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple products independently.
  • Strong team-building and problem-solving skills in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously without support throughout a project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to be innovative, creative, strategic, and analytical when solving problems.
  • Familiarity with relational database schema and basic SQL queries is helpful.
  • Ability to maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies.
  • Comfort with occasional in-person client meetings and company events.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, as Jenzabar does not sponsor work visas.
