Description

  • Teach ESL/EFL classes to adult and college-level students in an online format.
  • Support language instruction within a computer science engineering academic context.
  • Collaborate with faculty, academic staff, and students to deliver the program effectively.
  • Use an LMS such as Canvas to manage course delivery and instructional materials.
  • Apply current best practices in ESL teaching to classroom instruction.
  • Work in a bilingual environment using both English and Spanish.
  • Contribute to Jala University’s mission of connecting academia with industry through practical education.

Requirements

  • Certification in Teaching English as a Second/Foreign Language of at least 120 hours, such as TESOL, CELTA, or TEFL.
  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of direct experience teaching ESL/EFL classes.
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years of teaching experience in the computer science engineering field.
  • Experience working with adult students or college-level students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, academic staff, and students.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in ESL.
  • Experience teaching online.
  • Experience using Canvas or another LMS.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish.
