Description

  • Design, deploy, and maintain database systems within Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Research, implement, and maintain cloud automation and orchestration.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in indexing, query tuning, partitioning, and data modeling.
  • Optimize database deployments for Azure storage, networking, and security configurations.
  • Build and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerts using Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Automate schema migrations, backups, and cluster maintenance through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead root-cause analysis for database incidents and drive remediation efforts.
  • Evaluate and implement strategies to support scalability and growth.
  • Maintain backup and restore strategies across SQL Server and Cassandra.
  • Patch and upgrade systems and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation when needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in SQL Server and Azure SQL administration, performance tuning, and architecture.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Cassandra, including data modeling, cluster management, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure operations, including Azure SQL, VM-based SQL Server, Cassandra clusters, storage configuration, RBAC, and Key Vault.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
  • Experience supporting high-traffic, customer-facing SaaS applications.
