Description

  • Own the full-cycle general ledger and monthly close process.
  • Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and maintain the trial balance.
  • Manage balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and lease accounting.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly P&L variance reports and explain financial performance trends.
  • Handle expense allocations across departments, locations, and cost centers.
  • Support cash flow forecasting and budget-versus-actual analysis.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial modeling and reporting for leadership decision-making.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes and systems.

Requirements

  • Several years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes.
  • Proven experience with monthly close and general ledger management.
  • Proven experience with P&L variance analysis.
  • Proven experience with cash flow forecasting and basic FP&A support.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and adapt to new accounting systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial data clearly.
  • Experience working with multi-entity or multi-location businesses is advantageous.
  • Exposure to US-based companies or international clients is advantageous.
  • Experience with modern accounting platforms and automation tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to work USA hours Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm EST.
  • A fixed fibre internet line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps upload and download is mandatory.
  • A wired Ethernet connection is mandatory.
  • A reliable power backup solution is required.
