Description

  • Design, implement, and scale machine learning systems that power the company's products.
  • Build ML models that can handle millions of requests per second while maintaining performance.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Develop and debug ML models within memory and compute constraints.
  • Evaluate models rigorously and improve them based on results.
  • Provide technical mentorship to other ML research engineers.
  • Iterate quickly to ship new products and features early and often.
  • Write maintainable, well-documented, and tested code, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Participate in code reviews and architecture and design sessions.
  • Stay current on recent technological developments and assess their applicability.
  • Provide technical input to the research roadmap.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in applied machine learning.
  • Experience with the full modeling lifecycle, including building, evaluating, and debugging large ML models.
  • Experience working with large-scale categorical and structured data.
  • Expertise in real-time ML models, incremental learning, and online learning.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning fundamentals, including bias-variance tradeoffs, loss functions, and evaluation metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to make technical decisions independently and work in a self-directed manner.
  • Strong grasp of the mathematics required for machine learning, including linear algebra, probability theory, statistics, and matrix calculus (nice to have).
  • Software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems (nice to have).
  • Ability to collaborate with ML engineers to integrate work into infrastructure, including observability, deployment, quality, and security automation (nice to have).
  • Pre-employment screening is required, including verification of work history, education, and identity, plus an in-person interview and identity verification in the candidate’s country of residence.
