Description

  • Lead project financing strategy and execution from market outreach through diligence, documentation, approvals, closing, and funding.
  • Develop and recommend financing plans and capital structures for individual projects and portfolios.
  • Run competitive financing processes by preparing lender and investor materials, coordinating outreach, evaluating proposals, and negotiating commercial terms.
  • Oversee project financing models and analyses, including debt sizing, sources and uses, cash flows, coverage metrics, returns, sensitivities, and downside scenarios.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess the financing implications of key project decisions.
  • Review material contracts for bankability, risk allocation, and impacts on financing terms and availability.
  • Identify financing risks and drive mitigation plans across commercial, legal, technical, construction, and operational workstreams.
  • Lead financial evaluation of M&A, partnerships, and other strategic transactions, including modeling, valuation, scenario analysis, and diligence.
  • Prepare decision-ready materials for internal approvals and committee reviews.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, investors, advisors, and other financing parties, while mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in energy or infrastructure, preferably in project finance, M&A, corporate or strategic finance, investment banking, or infrastructure investing.
  • Demonstrated track record of structuring and closing complex financial transactions in clean energy or power infrastructure.
  • Mastery of financial modeling in Excel, including building, auditing, and analyzing dynamic project and corporate finance models.
  • Strong understanding of project financing structures, project contracts, risk allocation, and project bankability.
  • Deep familiarity with productivity tools including G Suite and Slack.
  • Composed, highly analytical approach with strong attention to detail in fast-paced transaction environments.
  • Commitment to financial rigor, transparent partnership, and sustainable impact.
  • Located within 60 miles of one of Intersect's hub locations is preferred.
  • Experience with strategic finance, valuation, or corporate-level financing is preferred.

  • Total compensation of $225,000-$300,000, including base salary and bonus.
