Description

  • Provide telephone triage support for hospice patients and their families after hours.
  • Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate next steps for care.
  • Coordinate with on-call teams to support timely interventions and resources.
  • Document calls, communications, and interventions accurately in the EMR.
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and empathetic demeanor while handling urgent calls.
  • Support patient-centered care using client-specific triage protocols.
  • Work independently in a remote setting while maintaining consistent attendance and communication.

Requirements

  • Active multistate Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Hospice, palliative, or end-of-life care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Comfort using technology and electronic medical records (EMR) for call documentation.
  • Ability to type documentation and notes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage stress and multitask while handling high call volumes.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Reliable internet connectivity and consistent attendance during all scheduled shifts.
  • Comfort working with a minimum of 5 calls per hour on weekdays and up to 8 calls per hour on weekends.

Benefits

  • Base pay of $25 per hour after training, with potential to earn up to $28 per hour within the first 6 months.
  • $1 shift differential for overnights.
  • $1 shift differential for weekends (Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday).
  • 3 weeks of paid remote training.
  • PTO accrual for both part-time and full-time nurses based on hours worked.
