Description

  • Review transactions in real time to prevent fraud and identify suspicious patterns.
  • Investigate fraudulent activity, account takeovers, and related incidents.
  • Manage a queue of inbound customer appeals with strong prioritization and time management.
  • Handle internal escalations and drive issues through full resolution.
  • Complete live and historical data reviews with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Execute repetitive operational tasks while identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Support the security, safety, and stability of the Instacart platform for users.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of professional experience, ideally in Fraud, Data Processing, or Support-related fields, or a strong academic record.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make critical decisions on sensitive issues quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Availability to work weekends or holidays, including 1 or 2 weekend days as scheduled.
  • Positive attitude and resilience in dynamic operational conditions.
  • Familiarity with Zendesk or a similar tool, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of the gig economy, preferred.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for a 6-month contracted, non-exempt hourly role.
