Description

  • Architect and implement enterprise-grade data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time pipelines.
  • Define and enforce data engineering standards for ETL/ELT frameworks, data modeling, and data quality controls.
  • Design and implement scalable data architecture with high availability, security, and performance.
  • Optimize database structures, schemas, indexing, partitioning, queries, and pipeline performance.
  • Build, automate, and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
  • Use tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and dbt to process, transform, and orchestrate data workflows.
  • Implement CI/CD for data pipelines and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • Apply data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, RBAC, and privacy/security controls.
  • Collaborate with clients, PMs, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and dashboards.
  • Mentor junior engineers, lead technical discussions and workshops, and conduct code reviews.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering with a proven track record of building scalable data solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Proficiency in Python or similar languages for data processing and automation.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native data services such as Redshift, Glue, S3, Synapse, Data Factory, BigQuery, or Dataflow.
  • Experience with big data and analytics tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, or Databricks.
  • Expertise in data modeling and strong knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven experience leading data projects, including migrations, warehousing, and real-time analytics.
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira and Git.
  • Preferred: certifications in cloud or data technologies such as AWS Certified Data Analytics or Google Cloud Data Engineer.
  • Preferred: experience with ML pipelines, including feature stores and model deployment.
  • Preferred: contributions to open-source data projects.
