Description

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve healthcare compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify compliance vulnerabilities and create corrective action plans.
  • Oversee internal monitoring and auditing to evaluate adherence to federal, state, and organizational requirements.
  • Investigate potential compliance violations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Serve as a liaison during audits and investigations.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training for staff at all levels.
  • Prepare compliance reports for department leaders and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and information security teams on complex compliance matters.
  • Stay current on healthcare regulatory changes and emerging compliance trends.
  • Leverage technology and analytics to produce actionable compliance reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Law, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance.
  • At least 3 years of oversight of a compliance program within a company.
  • Experience developing and implementing compliance programs in healthcare settings.
  • Deep knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and fraud and abuse laws.
  • Understanding of Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, and False Claims Act.
  • Proficiency in compliance risk assessment methodologies and audit techniques.
  • Experience with compliance management software and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of healthcare accreditation standards such as Joint Commission and NCQA.
  • Background in RCM or medical coding preferred.
  • CHC certification preferred; CHPC or CCEP preferred.
  • Experience in multiple healthcare settings, such as physician practice or health plan, preferred.
  • Experience in revenue cycle management and/or delegated services preferred.
  • Knowledge of compliance issues related to telehealth, digital health, or value-based care models preferred.
