Description

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and automated workflows for collecting and processing data.
  • Design, manage, and optimise structured datasets used across the organisation.
  • Write scripts and services to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Support journalists, analysts, and product teams in accessing and working with data.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across datasets.
  • Identify and implement improvements to automation and efficiency in data workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including developers, designers, UX specialists, analysts, and product teams.
  • Contribute to the development of new data products, tools, and services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience using Python and/or PHP.
  • Strong SQL experience.
  • Experience working with structured data and spreadsheets.
  • Experience in software development, data processing, database management, or automated data workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Git.
  • Experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Nice to have: experience with Snowflake.
  • Nice to have: experience with PHP Symfony or Drupal 11.
  • Nice to have: experience with JavaScript, jQuery, or Vue.js.
  • Nice to have: experience with Docker.
  • Interest in financial markets is helpful but not required.
  • Right to freely travel across Europe is required.
