Description

  • Collaborate with the BI Test Lead, government client, and vendor partners to plan, train, and execute testing of reports and data extracts for the financial system.
  • Review and update BI testing plans for each implementation release, including BI regression strategy, data quality assessments, and UAT preparation and readiness.
  • Develop and execute system test scripts for key reports in each release, ensuring automated testing covers at least 50% of BI scripts.
  • Coordinate across client and vendor teams (System Integrator, Data Layer, Reporting, and others) to validate BI architecture and resolve integration issues.
  • Maintain, prioritize, and share a testing defect log with the government client and vendor partners to track testing progress and issue resolution.
  • Oversee BI regression testing strategy and conduct data quality assessments and semantic model alignment checks.
  • Support and deliver BI and reporting components of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) training and readiness activities.
  • Mentor and develop junior BI testers and take ownership of assigned work items and project schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience supporting Momentum and/or Power BI Financial Reporting implementation activities at a large federal agency.
  • Minimum 4 years supporting Momentum Financials or another ERP system.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience executing test scripts, documenting test results, and identifying issues in Momentum Financials or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the end-to-end BI testing process including regression strategy, UAT, data quality assessments, semantic model alignment, and validation/aggregation measures.
  • Demonstrated experience with automated testing tools for Power BI and other reporting tools, with automated testing accounting for at least 50% of BI scripts.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently and in a team on high-visibility engagements.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Preferred: experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs and experience using Agility for testing.
