Description

  • Develop and own data-driven SEO strategies tailored to each e-commerce client’s business goals.
  • Manage multiple SEO client accounts with full responsibility for strategy, execution, and outcomes.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, technical audits, and content planning to support long-term organic growth.
  • Implement on-page, technical, and off-page SEO improvements, including optimizing product pages, category structures, internal linking, and site architecture for large catalogs.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and marketers to ensure SEO recommendations are implemented correctly.
  • Adapt SEO strategies to evolving search environments, including optimization for LLM-powered search, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
  • Monitor performance using analytics and SEO tools, refine strategies based on data, and proactively identify risks and growth opportunities.
  • Prepare clear, actionable reports and translate complex SEO data into practical insights for clients and internal stakeholders; maintain structured documentation of work and progress.

Requirements

  • Approximately 4–5 years of hands-on SEO experience delivering strategies for e-commerce websites.
  • Proven track record of improving organic traffic, rankings, and revenue through SEO initiatives.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, preferably servicing U.S.-based clients, with agency or freelancer background managing multiple accounts.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and common e-commerce technical issues.
  • Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar.
  • Familiarity with modern and emerging search environments (AI-powered search, LLM-driven discovery, AEO, Generative Engine Optimization).
  • High proficiency with SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong project management, autonomy, proactive mindset, and the ability to prioritize and maintain quality across multiple client accounts.
  • Must be available and responsive during standard office hours in Slovenia, commit to full-time work averaging 140 tracked hours/month, have a stable internet connection and reliable laptop/PC, and agree to the role’s exclusivity and notice-period terms.

  • Regular performance reviews (first after 3–6 months, then every 9–12 months) and role/workload re-evaluation after 6–12 months.
