Description

  • Develop and own data-driven SEO strategies tailored to each client’s e-commerce business goals.
  • Manage multiple SEO client accounts and take full responsibility for strategy, execution, and outcomes.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, technical audits, and content planning to support long-term organic growth.
  • Implement on-page, technical, and off-page SEO improvements across client websites, including optimizing product pages, category structures, internal linking, and site architecture for large e-commerce catalogs.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and marketers to ensure SEO recommendations are implemented correctly.
  • Adapt SEO strategies to the evolving search landscape, including optimization for LLM-powered search, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative/LLM-driven discovery.
  • Proactively identify SEO risks, technical issues, and growth opportunities and resolve them before they impact performance or client confidence.
  • Monitor performance using analytics and SEO tools, prepare clear actionable reports, and translate complex data into practical insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain structured documentation of SEO work, decisions, and progress across accounts and stay up to date with SEO trends and algorithm changes.

Requirements

  • Approximately 4–5 years of hands-on SEO experience focused on driving organic growth for e-commerce websites.
  • Proven track record of developing, executing, and iterating SEO strategies that improve organic traffic, rankings, and revenue.
  • Experience in client-facing SEO roles, preferably serving US-based clients, and prior agency or freelance experience managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and common e-commerce technical challenges.
  • Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, or similar.
  • Familiarity with modern and emerging search environments, including AI-powered search, LLM-driven discovery, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
  • High proficiency with SEO and analytics tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, strong analytical and project management abilities, and the ability to translate complex datasets into clear recommendations.
  • Must be available and responsive during standard office hours in Slovenia, commit to full-time availability (average 140 tracked hours/month), and have a stable internet connection and a reliable laptop or PC.
  • Willingness to sign a non-disclosure agreement and an exclusivity agreement (no concurrent similar roles), and to commit to a 30-day notice period after the initial two-month trial/adaptation period.
