Description

  • Own SEO strategy across an assigned portfolio of ecommerce clients.
  • Build prioritized roadmaps spanning technical SEO, content, authority building, UX, and conversion optimization.
  • Identify growth opportunities across product, category, collection, editorial, buying guide, and comparison content.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits covering crawlability, indexation, structured data, Core Web Vitals, rendering, canonicalization, faceted navigation, redirects, and migrations.
  • Analyze rankings, traffic, conversions, revenue, and visibility using analytics, search console, crawling, rank tracking, and ecommerce data.
  • Diagnose performance changes while accounting for seasonality, promotions, merchandising, paid activity, product availability, and tracking issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, writers, designers, outreach specialists, and account managers to implement recommendations.
  • Translate findings into prioritized development tickets, monitor implementation quality, and validate completed work.
  • Lead client strategy meetings, performance reviews, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Develop GEO/AEO methodologies by researching AI search platforms, evaluating client visibility, and identifying opportunities involving citations, structured data, entities, feeds, reviews, and content extractability.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience leading SEO strategy for ecommerce websites.
  • Strong experience with Shopify or Shopify Plus and BigCommerce; experience with Magento, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce, or headless platforms is preferred.
  • Advanced technical SEO knowledge for large ecommerce websites and product catalogs.
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, Semrush, Looker Studio, and related SEO tools.
  • Strong understanding of keyword research, search intent, information architecture, internal linking, on-page optimization, and ecommerce content strategy.
  • Ability to connect SEO performance to conversions, transactions, average order value, and revenue.
  • Experience creating prioritized SEO roadmaps and actionable development requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and client-presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of GEO, AEO, AI search platforms, structured data, product feeds, entity optimization, or AI visibility measurement is preferred.
  • SQL, Python, JavaScript, APIs, log-file analysis, or advanced data visualization experience is a plus.
  • Availability during Monday–Friday office hours from 3–6 PM BCN time and capacity to work 30–35 hours weekly, approximately 140 hours monthly.
  • Stable internet, suitable computer equipment, remote collaboration experience, and openness to giving and receiving feedback.

  • Fixed-rate monthly salary paid in USD.
  • Full-time contractor arrangement with a paid two-month trial and adaptation period.
  • Regular performance reviews every 9–12 months, with an initial review after 3–6 months.
  • Role and workload reevaluation after 6–12 months.
  • 30-day notice period after the first two months.
