Description

  • Design, build, and maintain internal back-office tools and applications using Laravel and Laravel Nova that improve the efficiency of the Customer Support team.
  • Develop Laravel endpoints and backend functionality that power AI-driven support tools and integrations (e.g., Intercom Fin).
  • Investigate, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex technical issues and bugs across the product codebase.
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation and help articles to enable self-service for customers and support staff.
  • Develop automated workflows and systems that impact multiple teams and streamline cross-team operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to identify opportunities for tooling and automation improvements.
  • Work directly with customers and internal stakeholders to reproduce issues, gather requirements, and implement fixes or workarounds.

Requirements

  • Product engineering experience with PHP and Laravel (from employment, side projects, or equivalent experience building and maintaining user-facing systems).
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex, non-obvious problems.
  • Strong written communication skills and experience communicating in remote-first tools (Slack, Notion).
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborate across teams.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for building tools that improve user and support experiences.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn and adapt to a large, complex codebase.
  • Comfort working remotely in a distributed team; ideal candidates work under US or EMEA timezones.
  • Familiarity with Hospitable’s tech stack (PHP, Angular, Laravel, MySQL, Beanstalk) is a plus.

Benefits

  • Total compensation budget for the role: US$95,803.56 - US$121,005.00 (location-dependent).
  • US employee gross salary range: US$81,433.03 - US$102,854.25, plus eligibility for equity and additional awards.
  • Equity grant via RSUs ($HOST token) with grant value up to US$48,402.00.
  • Eligibility for Performance Share Units (PSUs) up to US$271,120.00 per year, paid upon achievement of defined business targets.
  • Remote-first, distributed company with options to hire internationally as contractors, or as employees in the US, EU, or Australia.
  • 35 days off per year (encouraged), including self-serve public holidays, plus parental leave.
