Description

  • Shape product direction, launch core platform features from 0→1, and iterate based on customer feedback.
  • Develop new features, maintain existing functionality, and build workflows that support customer growth.
  • Create intuitive user experiences and maintainable solutions for both customers and engineers.
  • Collaborate with product, sales, customer success, and engineering teams to solve customer and business problems.
  • Work within the Laravel monolith and Kubernetes-powered infrastructure-as-code stack.
  • Implement observability tooling to monitor and debug production systems.
  • Identify and resolve high-impact performance, resource, and feature issues.
  • Refactor core platform code to improve its clarity, maintainability, and testability.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, focused on backend technologies.
  • Significant production experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, MySQL, and testing pipelines; Laravel experience is required.
  • Hands-on experience using agentic coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot in production codebases.
  • Ability to write testable, maintainable, intuitive code while prioritizing customer and business value.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems, non-obvious usage scenarios, and ripple effects.
  • Strong empathy for customers and teammates.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, especially in Slack and Notion-based remote environments.
  • Self-motivated decision-maker who can maintain momentum amid uncertainty.
  • Experience with queue- or job-centric backends is preferred.
  • Experience building production systems dependent on third-party API data ingestion is preferred.
