Description

  • Develop new features and maintain existing features in the core platform and connectivity systems.
  • Improve platform stability, downtime resilience, and edge-case coverage for OTA integrations.
  • Implement and maintain integrations with current and future online travel agency partners.
  • Contribute to product shaping discussions and ship new core platform features from 0 to 1.
  • Iterate on features based on customer feedback.
  • Partner with product, sales, customer success, and engineering teams to define and ship the right solutions.
  • Build user experiences that are simple for customers to use and easy for engineers to understand and maintain.
  • Work within a large monolithic codebase and Kubernetes-based infrastructure-as-code stack.
  • Implement observability tooling to monitor, track, and debug post-deployment issues.
  • Identify and fix performance, resource, and feature bugs that affect business operations and customer experience.
  • Refactor core platform and connectivity code to improve readability, maintainability, and testability.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend technologies.
  • Strong experience with Laravel, PHP 7+, MySQL, and testing pipelines in a deployed web application used by paying customers.
  • Non-negotiable experience working with Laravel.
  • Ability to write testable, maintainable, and intuitive code without unnecessary abstraction.
  • A customer- and business-value-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to reason through non-obvious usage scenarios and system ripple effects.
  • High empathy toward customers and teammates.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and ability to make decisions in uncertain, remote-first environments.
  • Experience with queue/job-centric backends is a plus.
  • Experience building production systems where third-party API ingestion is critical to the business is a big plus.
  • Ideal timezone fit is European or American timezones.

Benefits

  • Total target compensation budget of USD $121,005.00 - $152,053.00 depending on location.
  • For US employees, gross compensation of $102,854.25 - $129,245.05 may apply.
  • Company equity through $HOST token RSUs with a grant value of up to $76,026.50.
  • Eligibility for up to an additional $380,104.00 per year in Performance Share Units (PSUs).
  • International hiring as contractors, or as employees in the United States, European Union, or Australia.
  • US healthcare coverage including EPO, PPO, and HSA options.
