Description

  • Investigate bodily injury claims by verifying coverage, assessing liability, and determining the scope of damages.
  • Evaluate accident facts, injuries, medical records, medical bills, and other claim information to determine causation and claim value.
  • Negotiate settlements in line with company best practices and applicable state regulations.
  • Manage an assigned inventory of bodily injury claims and make sound claim decisions independently.
  • Own claims throughout the claim lifecycle while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
  • Communicate proactively, clearly, and timely with customers, claimants, attorneys, and other involved parties.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, and leadership to support efficient claim resolution.
  • Gain exposure to litigation-related claims and support increasingly complex cases as appropriate.
  • Use claims operating systems and communication tools to support claim handling activities.
  • Continue building technical knowledge of bodily injury claims, litigation, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience handling bodily injury claims or related casualty claims.
  • Ability to investigate coverage, liability, and damages independently.
  • Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims handling practices, and applicable regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required state adjuster licenses.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Prior bodily injury claims experience is preferred.
  • Experience handling attorney-represented claims is preferred.
  • Exposure to litigation claims and ability to manage a high-volume inventory independently are preferred.
  • Periodic travel may be required.

  • Annual base salary of $57,500 to $79,100, plus bonus.
