Description

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing across multiple regions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop, refine, and maintain comprehensive payroll process guides, SOPs, and audit checklists to standardize workflows.
  • Drive development and implementation of payroll standards and audit frameworks to strengthen operational consistency.
  • Identify operational gaps, recommend enhancements, and implement process improvements to streamline payroll workflows.
  • Collaborate with payroll vendors and external partners to ensure seamless payroll processing and regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as a senior resource to payroll specialists by providing expert guidance, resolving complex inquiries, and delivering training on updated processes and documentation.
  • Cultivate a learning environment that encourages knowledge sharing, collective problem-solving, and elevation of team performance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a global or multi-regional environment.
  • Eligible to work remotely from Canada or the USA (in provinces/states where the company can legally hire); temporary role from April 2026 to March 2027.
  • Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification preferred.
  • Experience with payroll software and systems (examples: Workday, ADP, Dayforce) and specifically experience with Workday payroll processing module.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and payroll reporting, with a focus on identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain comprehensive payroll documentation, SOPs, and audit checklists.
  • Experience providing training and guidance to payroll specialists to elevate team capabilities and maintain process alignment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying process gaps and implementing solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data integrity and accuracy in payroll functions.

Benefits

  • Canada pay range: $78,400–$109,800 CAD.
  • US pay range: $83,100–$116,300 USD.
  • Remote work (role open to remote applicants in Canada and the USA where legally hireable).
