Description

  • Deliver low-complexity software projects while following coding, design, testing, security, accessibility, and privacy standards.
  • Contribute to the team roadmap by asking questions, providing input, and escalating risks or scope changes promptly.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation, and team learning activities to support shared goals.
  • Troubleshoot issues, resolve minor bugs independently, and collaborate with senior teammates on more complex problems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teammates and stakeholders to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Use modern web technologies to improve developer workflows and internal infrastructure.
  • Work in repositories primarily built with TypeScript and React, with exposure to Scala and Go services.
  • Support Jenkins CI/CD pipelines through maintenance, optimization, and automation efforts.
  • Help investigate and execute technical initiatives that improve the software development lifecycle and speed up delivery.
  • Contribute to dependency management and internal package ecosystem decisions, including library adoption, upgrades, and deprecation.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent education/work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience developing and maintaining software, including co-op terms and internships.
  • Ability to learn and follow existing coding patterns, best practices, and testing practices.
  • Ability to use root cause analysis to identify and address bugs and outages.
  • Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and debugging best practices.
  • Ability to learn and follow architecture concepts that support performance, modifiability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Knowledge of basic security and compliance practices.
  • Experience working in agile processes and continuous integration/delivery environments.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team, including technical discussions and non-technical input from design and product.
  • Willingness to seek guidance, feedback, and learning opportunities, and to set goals with the team.
  • Customer-focused, resilient, adaptable, and comfortable with change and ambiguity.
  • Experience with TypeScript, React, Jenkins, Scala, or Go is beneficial based on the team’s technology stack.
