Description

  • Design, build, and deliver backend systems and APIs in Go with attention to clarity, maintainability, and backward compatibility.
  • Build and maintain full-stack product features across React/TypeScript frontend code and Go backend services.
  • Provide technical leadership by defining engineering patterns and operational guidelines that raise the team’s standards.
  • Plan, lead, and deliver complex multi-team projects, including work with external dependencies.
  • Collaborate with design and product partners in a triad model from discovery through delivery and help shape technical and quarterly product roadmaps.
  • Own software in production, including participation in on-call rotations and proactive resolution of user pain points.
  • Communicate clearly through written and verbal channels, share knowledge, mentor engineers, and delegate effectively.
  • Anticipate technical risks, evaluate tradeoffs, and consider cost and scale when making implementation decisions.

Requirements

  • Substantial experience designing, building, and maintaining backend systems.
  • Strong experience building APIs and backend services in Go or similar languages.
  • Professional experience delivering frontend features with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience leading complex technical projects across multiple teams or systems.
  • Ability to own projects end-to-end from planning through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Track record of mentoring engineers, leading technical design reviews, and improving team quality.
  • Strong collaborative mindset with comfort working cross-functionally and adjusting priorities as needed.
  • Clear, thoughtful written and verbal communication skills and willingness to give and receive feedback.
  • Experience supporting software in production and an interest in observability and production operations.
  • Nice to have: experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
  • Cannot currently sponsor or support visa transfers.
  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work.

  • Base salary range of $183,340 to $205,000 USD, based on level of experience.
