Description

  • Oversee full-cycle property accounting for a dedicated portfolio of properties and clients.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes and prepare financial reporting packages.
  • Partner with property managers on capital planning, cash management, special assessments, loan processing, and budget preparation.
  • Monitor property-level loan covenant compliance and serve as the main contact for external accounting and audit firms.
  • Maintain general ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and audit accounting records.
  • Support clients and internal teams with responsive, customer-focused accounting support.
  • Work closely with the Senior Director of Property Accounting as a financial partner to clients and property managers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of general accounting experience.
  • 2+ years of full-cycle accounting experience in property management, such as association or apartment management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with property management software such as AppFolio or Vantaca is a major plus.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus PDF tools.
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines independently in a remote setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, customer-service mindset.
  • Coachable, collaborative, accountable, and comfortable contributing ideas to the team.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work within EST or CST time zones.
  • Compensation of $65,000–$70,000 per year.
  • Health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance eligible the first of the month following hire.
