Description

  • Oversee NOC workflows to ensure urgent resolution of critical service issues.
  • Manage compute, storage, and network resource impacts to meet SLA commitments.
  • Respond to customer escalations during business hours and through a shared on-call rotation.
  • Lead incident management and implement actions to prevent recurring impacts.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and runbooks.
  • Drive automation and observability improvements to reduce operational toil.
  • Work directly with customers to support their use cases and improve infrastructure reliability and performance.
  • Represent customer needs to product and platform teams.
  • Travel to data centers for cluster commissioning, acceptance, and complex troubleshooting.
  • Assist with critical incidents and maintenance activities outside regular business hours.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience directly supporting customers using compute infrastructure at scale in 24x7 environments.
  • 5+ years of hands-on network and systems operations experience in large-scale compute environments.
  • Understanding of VLANs, VXLAN, OSPF, BGP, NSX or similar SDN technologies, routing, switching, and load balancing.
  • Experience supporting OpenStack or similar open-cloud platforms, or adjacent experience with modern private-cloud stacks (preferred).
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision and take ownership of outcomes.
  • Continuous-improvement mindset with a focus on automation and eliminating operational toil.
