Description

  • Own escalated incidents, service requests, and problem tickets through resolution, escalation, or documented handoff.
  • Diagnose compute and storage faults using logs, monitoring dashboards, management interfaces, and approved diagnostic tools.
  • Assess incident severity and customer impact, coordinating with NOC and site teams to meet SLA targets.
  • Troubleshoot Linux servers, GPU health alerts, boot failures, firmware and driver issues, hardware faults, and resource availability problems.
  • Support node provisioning, reimaging, configuration changes, maintenance, and return-to-service validation using automation and runbooks.
  • Investigate Kubernetes and Slurm node or workload failures and coordinate escalations with platform engineers.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot distributed, high-performance file, object, and block storage platforms.
  • Support upgrades, planned maintenance, cluster expansions, and validation activities under established change controls.
  • Maintain asset, configuration, and ticket records; improve runbooks, checklists, and knowledge articles.
  • Identify recurring incidents and automate repeatable operational work using scripts and infrastructure management tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3–6 years of experience supporting Linux servers, HPC, cloud, or data center infrastructure in a production environment.
  • Practical troubleshooting experience with enterprise compute hardware, BMC interfaces such as iDRAC or iLO, operating systems, and monitoring tools.
  • Working familiarity with NFS, distributed filesystems, object storage, and storage performance fundamentals.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, change-management procedures, and Bash or Python scripting for diagnostics and automation.
  • Exposure to NVIDIA GPU systems, InfiniBand/RDMA, Kubernetes, Slurm, or AI/HPC storage platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to perform structured, evidence-driven troubleshooting and determine when to remediate, collaborate, or escalate.
  • Strong ticket ownership, operational attention to detail, and customer-service focus.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication skills and ability to work across NOC, SRE, hardware, network, storage, and Tier 3 teams.
  • Ability to travel to data centers and assist with critical incidents or maintenance outside regular business hours.
