Description

  • Lead the Product & Engineering strategic finance function and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.
  • Develop and own the process for evaluating the business impact of Product and Engineering investments.
  • Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives, including pricing and packaging decisions.
  • Build operational and financial models for major projects, including ROI, LTV/CAC, and payback analysis.
  • Partner cross-functionally on budgeting, resource planning, and strategic alignment across teams.
  • Define and track KPIs and productivity metrics across Product & Engineering to improve accountability and transparency.
  • Hire, mentor, and guide finance team members while building a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Design scalable team structures, workflows, and governance models to support business growth.
  • Identify and implement AI-enabled process improvements to streamline close and improve forecasting precision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced qualification such as an MBA, CFA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy.
  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
  • Experience in a late-stage or high-growth tech company or public company environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with experience working with executive teams, board members, and investors.
  • Proven business partnering experience with both financial and non-financial leaders.
  • Advanced modeling skills, including bottom-up financial modeling and unit economics analysis.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS and usage-based business models and metrics.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive toward successful outcomes.
  • Advanced experience with Excel or Google Sheets, BI tools such as Tableau, financial planning tools such as Adaptive Insights, and AI tools such as GPT-based copilots.
  • Track record of using AI to improve forecasting methodologies or drive process improvements is a plus.
  • Experience building and scaling a strategic finance function from scratch is a plus.
