Description

  • Develop a new ingredient roadmap with culinary and brand teams to drive menu innovation.
  • Build a roadmap of new ingredients and suppliers with sourcing and product teams to support supplier diversification.
  • Oversee product investment budgets and deliver against cost and timeline objectives for new and existing ingredients.
  • Lead the end-to-end stage gate process for ingredient commercialization from concept through launch, including timelines, milestones, and risk assessments.
  • Incorporate sustainability and responsible sourcing criteria into ingredient evaluation.
  • Ensure ingredient projects align with regulatory compliance requirements, including labeling, allergen management, and ingredient standards.
  • Develop new products jointly with suppliers to accelerate the ingredient roadmap.
  • Create and manage supplier sensory scorecards, specifications, and supplier onboarding requirements.
  • Maintain the master data repository for supplier and ingredient data and specifications.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team with both culinary and data-focused expertise.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in food or beverage research and development, product development, and/or continuous improvement.
  • People leadership experience is preferred.
  • A degree in food science or a related field is an asset, but not required.
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety compliance.
  • Familiarity with FDA/USDA ingredient regulations and labeling requirements.
  • Proven success in product innovation and cross-functional stage gate leadership.
  • Experience managing test kitchen operations and preparing samples and documentation for showings or evaluations.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical experience, including proficiency with G-Suite, Excel, and project management systems.
  • Experience managing direct and indirect reports.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel up to 10%.
